This policy explains what personal data CV Lifter processes, why, and what rights you have.<\/p>\n

1. Who we are<\/h2>

CV Lifter (cvlifter.com) is operated by Hantasy O\u00dc, [registry code]<\/span>, [registered address, Estonia]<\/span> (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data you provide to us as a customer. Contact: info@cvlifter.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2. What data we process<\/h2>
  • Account data<\/b> \u2014 name, email address, password hash, billing details and order history.<\/li>
  • Profile and documents<\/b> \u2014 the information you enter into your master profile or upload in a CV (work history, education, skills, contact details, photo if you add one) and the job postings you submit.<\/li>
  • Generated content<\/b> \u2014 the CVs, cover letters, answers to questions and comments created in your account.<\/li>
  • Usage and technical data<\/b> \u2014 log data, device and browser information, and cookies needed to run the site and the checkout.<\/li><\/ul>\n

    3. Why and on what legal basis<\/h2>
    • To provide the service you purchased \u2014 contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).<\/li>
    • To process payments, issue invoices and meet accounting obligations \u2014 legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).<\/li>
    • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse \u2014 legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).<\/li>
    • To send product news \u2014 only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.<\/li><\/ul>\n

      4. AI processing<\/h2>

      To research positions and generate tailored documents we send the relevant parts of your profile and the job posting to third-party AI model providers acting as our processors under data processing agreements. They are contractually prohibited from using your data to train their models. We do not use your data to train models either.<\/p>\n

      5. Team and agency accounts<\/h2>

      When an organisation uses CV Lifter to manage candidates’ profiles, that organisation is the controller of the candidates’ data and we act as its processor under a data processing agreement. Candidates should contact the organisation that created their profile with any requests.<\/p>\n

      6. Processors and transfers<\/h2>

      We use hosting, payment (card acquirers, PayPal), email delivery and AI providers to run the service. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, transfers are protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.<\/p>\n

      7. Retention<\/h2>

      Account and profile data are kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days after you delete the account. Invoices are kept for the period required by accounting law (7 years in Estonia). Logs are kept for up to 12 months.<\/p>\n

      8. Your rights<\/h2>

      You can access, correct, export or delete your data, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time from your account or by emailing us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; ours is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (AKI).<\/p>\n

      9. Cookies<\/h2>

      We use strictly necessary cookies for login and checkout. Analytics or marketing cookies are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner.<\/p>\n

      10. Changes<\/h2>
